Thanks for the best 3 days in Phi Phi! It was great to strap a tank to my back and get in the water again after it had been so long. Ya’ll are the best.

Brilliant day. It was an overwhelming experience. Too much to take in at once.
And I will never use a shark product for as long as I live.
Thanks Andy,

Diving in Thailand – Palong Wall and Malong

Thai Names: Palong and Malong
Translation: Cliff Entrance

When diving in Thailand there are a number of exciting dive sites and two of them are called Palong wall and Malong. Both sites have similar topography, with a gentle sloping fringing reef with occasional rocky outcrops. Coral coverage here is high and due to unimpeded currents there is also a high level of colorful soft corals and giant gorgonian seafans. Not to worry too much about the currents here since if the sites run from north to south or vice versa depending which ever way the current is heading.

What's to see?
Phi Phi has suddenly become a haven for the illusive frogfish, seahorse and ornate ghostpipefish, which are rarely seen when diving in Thailand. Over the last few years there has been an increase in sightings of these usually very shy creatures and the good news is, if they are left alone they will stay in the same place for a long time, making it very easy for us to find.

Leopard sharks and Black Tip Reef sharks are also common sightings at these sites. Large groups of twin spot and yellow five lined snappers, butterflyfish, and angelfish. Turtles are almost a guarantee.

The Dive Trip
Each dive trip starts from our Phi Phi Island base office every morning at 07:30 a.m. Our custom-made dive boat takes 30 minutes to reach the dive sites and the journey is spent briefing the divers about the sites.

This is a 2 dive day trip and usually Palong wall and Malong dive sites are included as the second dive of the day after the first dive at one of the Bida Islands. During lunch we will moor up in one of the bays in Phi Phi Ley which gives our guests a chance to see this spectacular island and do some snorkeling.

Refreshments, water and lunches are served between the dives.

Each group of divers consists of no more than four divers per Divemaster.
