Tauchen mit Haien? Ok – aber Sohnorcheln? Ein Muss!!!
Super!

Just want to say that this day has been the best day for me ever in Thailand. I have been here twice and never seen such beautiful fisches! Thank you so much!

Garang Heng

An unmarked mid ocean reef little dived by the general diving community due to the difficulty in locating it. Garang Heng ia a shallow mount, an underwater oasis. The lack of divers here adds to the spectacular reef life that surrounds the mount.

In one dive last year we counted over 80 lionfish, numerous scorpionfish, ornate ghostpipefish, leopard sharks and grey bamboo sharks, and many species of moray eels to name but a few.
Due to it's location it is only possible to dive when the water surface is calm and the currents are not strong, however this is a shallow dive and suitable for all levels of diver. Highly recommended.

Dive Tip

The site is quite small so swim slowly going from shallow to deep. That way you will ascend circling the mount probably twice in a spiral until your reach the safety stop. The mount is made up of rocks that are covered in different types of hard coral and numerous soft corals and seafans. The top of the mount is at 4-5 meters from the surface, so be careful when you get in the water because it is easy to drift off of the location if you are not keeping an eye underwater.

The Dive trip
Each dive trip starts from our Phi Phi Island base office every morning at 07:30 a.m. Our custom-made dive boat takes 30 minutes to reach the dive sites and the journey is spent briefing the divers about the sites.

This is part of a 2 dive day trip and usually Garang Heng will be picked to dive according to the best slack tide period of the day and the other dive will be conducted at either the Bida Islands or Phi Phi Ley Island.

Refreshments, water and lunches are served between the dives.

Each group of divers consists of no more than four divers per Divemaster.
